Product Overview

The 5780N-C is a 12-volt Prestolite-type direct-drive starter with counter-clockwise rotation and a 10-tooth pinion, in a show-quality chrome-plated finish. It fits Harley-Davidson FL, FLH Electra Glide, FLT and FXR models from 1965 to 1983, and XL / XLCH / XLS Sportster 900-1000 cc from 1958 to 1985. It replaces Harley-Davidson 31458-66A, 31458-66B, 31458-66TA and 31463-88T, and Prestolite MGL4004.

The unit is remanufactured to OE dimensions, replated in bright chrome, and fitted with renewed brushes, bushings and seals. Every starter is bench-tested for rotation, engagement and current draw before packing. Backed by a 12-month warranty.
