The 5709N is a 12-volt permanent-magnet direct-drive (PMDD) outboard starter with counter-clockwise rotation and an 8-tooth pinion, for OMC V6 Cross 150-235 HP engines sold under the Johnson and Evinrude brands. It directly replaces OMC 387094, 395207, 585062 and 586288, and United Technologies PMDD units 0814240-M030SM / 4786240-M030SM.
Every starter is remanufactured to OE dimensions with renewed brushes, bushings and seals, then bench-tested for rotation, pinion engagement and current draw. A corrosion-resistant finish suits salt-air and freshwater installations. Backed by a 12-month warranty.
