Product Overview
The 5724N is a 12-volt outboard starter with counter-clockwise rotation and a 10-tooth pinion, for Mercury and Mariner 6-25 HP two-stroke outboards from 1980 to 2005, covering 8, 9.9, 15, 18, 20 and 25 HP models. It replaces Mercury 50-893889, 50-893889T, 50-90983A1, 50-90983T1 and 50-8M0033984, and United Technologies SM52160.
Each starter is remanufactured to OE dimensions with renewed brushes, bushings and seals, bench-tested for rotation, pinion engagement and current draw, and finished to resist corrosion on the water. Backed by a 12-month warranty.
