The 5718N is a 12-volt PMDD outboard starter with counter-clockwise rotation and a 9-tooth pinion, for OMC Johnson / Evinrude three-cylinder 50-75 HP outboards from 1969 to 2001. It replaces OMC 386657, 391735, 585050, 585197 and 586281, and crosses to Sierra 18-5648 and United Technologies 1799640-M030SM.
Every unit is remanufactured to OE dimensions with renewed brushes, bushings and seals, bench-tested for rotation, pinion engagement and current draw, and finished to resist corrosion in marine environments. Backed by a 12-month warranty.
